Athletic Training Terminology
Use accurate terminology when referring to the athletic training profession. “Athletic trainer” or “AT” are the preferred terms; “trainer,” “certified trainer” and “student trainer” should be avoided. NATA also recommends “athletic training facility” rather than “training room.”
